Affordable & comfortable... One of her photos presents a nice view of the cockpit area showing the Danforth Binnacle Compass and the wheel steering. This is a gear operated steering system which is a strong and extremely reliable method of linking the wheel to the rudder. This is a large and very comfortable cockpit. This yacht has been beautifully designed... Looking forward through the main cabin you can see the rich wood joinery always present in the Fuji yachts. You can see the huge V-Berth forward just past the head. Extremely comfortable and pleasing to the eye! The dining table folds down from it's stowed position. There is a cup and dish storage area protected by the table in it's stowed position. Everything was well thought out for this yacht!
John Alden at his absolute finest hour... The size of the forward V-Berth is astonishing! I actually stretched out and tried this bed and it is very comfortable! Plenty of ventilation and light as well. Also lots of storage areas. Well appointed yacht with fine joinery work. The cabin could use a coat of varnish but that's not a difficult job. Complete bottom job in 2002... Scirocco received a complete bottom job which included peeling, fairing and barrier coating with epoxy followed by three coats of marine anti-fouling bottom paint. At the same time her cutlass bearing was renewed as well as the installation of an anti-drip shaft seal making this a dry bilge yacht. There were no indications of osmosis at the time of her refit and all work was professionally done in a United States yard. Bottom work, other than painting, should not be necessary. Perkins Diesel for Perkins Reliability... Her Perkins 4-108 fifty horesepower marine diesel engine has just been completely rebuilt. It starts and runs perfectly as I have personally heard many times. This is great reliable propulsion and it is easy to get parts for this Perkins Diesel engine all over the world. This engine has an oil change pump as well and a bronze raw water strainer. Fuel is filtered by Racor! The water pump impeller is right out where you can get to it for service. Spoil yourself... John Alden and Fuji Yachts made a great combination! The basic hull design of this fine Fuji yacht is a traditional one which has proven itself over many years of use and countless thousands of miles of cruising. The long keel with attached rudder hull configuration combined with a generous but not bulbous beam provides stiffness and longitudinal stability; it also provides protection for the rudder, propeller and the propeller shaft. In my own experience I have found that ketch rigged sail plans are considerably easier for short handed sailing or for sailing alone. Smaller sails making them easy to manage and many with different configurations available. The interior layouts of the Fuji yachts have been designed to provide comfortable accomodations for a reasonably sized crew on boats of their size. Remember that this fine yacht is the Fuji 35 NEW VERSION.

Straight from from the Fuji Yacht Owner's Manual: "HULL: Moulded in one piece hand layered fiberglass with polyurethane noise and sweat insulation. Extra thick lamination in stem, forefoot and ballast area. Anti-fouling bottom paint. Water line stripe. Moulded in cove line and embossed rope line around the edge of the transom." This yacht is strong and seaworthy. She was designed by John Alden and perfectly built by Fuji Yachts in Japan. If you don't mind doing just a little bit of work then this is indeed your yacht.
