The Town of Luperon is situated on the shores of Luperon Bay - more correctly known as Bahia de Gracia. Luperon Bay is a gift from Mother Nature with it's exquisite beauty and absolutely perfect natural protection.  Now don't be getting the wrong impression about living and working in the tropics! It is not for everyone and I don't want to convey the idea that it is the perfect utopia for all. For me it is perfect but then I have always loved the sunshine and the heat does not bother me like it bothers some. I am from Canada and I don't miss the ice or snow one little bit. But we do have rain here during the rainy season. At least I don't have to shovel the rain away! We have the threat of hurricanes although there has never been a hurricane that hit Luperon directly. We have the odd earthquake which can be a bit nerve wracking but even those become "old hat" after a period of time. We have some bugs here that I never saw in Canada but they pretty much leave me alone. However, I don't have to haul my boat out of the water every fall and put her back in every spring! In short, I love living and working in the tropics. Anyone considering this particular business opportunity must take living here into consideration as well. I won't be leaving. I enjoy boating year around and I enjoy being around boats and boaters. Every year there are more boaters "discovering" the Dominican Republic and I enjoy meeting and working with these people.
